Rockstar published Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, 2026. The official page lists a runtime of 26 minutes and 48 seconds and says the presentation was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.

You can watch it from Rockstar’s official Extended Look page, which links to Netflix and YouTube. It is the newest of three long-form videos listed on Rockstar’s GTA VI media page at our September 16 check.

Position in video timeline After Trailer 1 and Trailer 2

Rockstar’s video archive places An Extended Look beside Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. The 26:48 runtime makes it a different viewing task from the much shorter trailers: users looking for the full presentation should open Rockstar’s linked watch paths, not an unlabeled social clip.

What the release changes

The presentation gives viewers a much longer official look at Leonida, Jason, Lucia and activities in the game than the two earlier trailers. It also gives every visible scene a clear first-party source instead of requiring readers to rely on reposted clips.

The capture statement is precise: the footage came from the game running on PlayStation 5. It does not by itself publish a frame-rate target, resolution table, list of graphics modes or comparison with Xbox Series X|S. Those require direct specifications or independent testing of a release build.

What a visible scene can prove

An official scene proves that Rockstar chose to show that character, place, object or action. It does not always prove the final mission order, complete mechanic, player freedom, frequency in the finished game or availability on every platform.

That distinction matters when short clips are detached from the full presentation. The gameplay guide separates what Rockstar directly shows from interpretation, while the official screenshot page gives context for still images.

For example, a location visible in footage can be compared with Rockstar’s separately named people-and-places material, but a fan label on a freeze-frame is not an official map marker. Likewise, an edited action sequence is not a complete control tutorial or proof that every moment is freely playable. This article records the video’s release; the maintained guides own detailed scene-by-scene interpretation.

What Rockstar did not announce here

The official page does not add a PC or Steam release date, public demo, final file size, cross-play promise or complete performance specification. Those topics remain unannounced in the first-party material checked for this story.

The release therefore changes the amount of official footage available, not the announced launch-platform list. Readers deciding whether their hardware is supported should use the platform page rather than infer a new version from a video upload destination.

Fake-demo warning

Interest in the event was used by fake “demo” sites. Malwarebytes reported that imitation pages copied genuine Extended Look promotion while offering an information-stealing executable. The Extended Look is a video presentation, not a playable download.

Use Rockstar’s watch links and do not install a supposed demo. The fake-demo report explains the documented campaign, and the official trailer timeline places this presentation after Trailer 1 and Trailer 2.
