Grand Theft Auto VI is not officially listed for Steam or PC in the first-party sources checked on September 16, 2026. Rockstar currently lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026.

That does not prove a PC version will never exist. It means there is no verified PC version or date to publish today.

Current Steam and PC status

Rockstar’s GTA VI page, Rockstar Support’s platform list and Take-Two’s current release material all identify the console launch. None of the checked pages gives a PC date, PC store link, launcher requirement or hardware specification.

The absence of a listing does not prove that a PC version will never exist. It means there is no verified product, store, date, price or preorder path to recommend today.

PC search query answers

This page intentionally owns PC availability intent. Console price belongs on the GTA 6 price page, the exact India PC-price query belongs on the India PC price guide, supported console hardware belongs on the platforms page, and fake downloads belong on the download safety guide.

Why the wording matters

“Not announced for PC” is an evidence statement about Rockstar’s current product pages. “Never coming to PC” is a prediction about the company’s future plans. Neither a retailer placeholder nor previous Rockstar port history can turn the first statement into the second. The Rockstar platform-and-edition support page presently names only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why previous Rockstar releases do not give us a date

Some discussions use the timing of earlier Rockstar PC ports to predict a GTA VI window. That can be interesting historical context, but it is not confirmation. Development plans, platform work and commercial schedules can differ from one game to another.

We will not publish “2027,” “2028,” or another estimated year as if Rockstar announced it. A prediction repeated by many websites is still a prediction. Earlier Rockstar release patterns do not create a GTA VI promise.

PC articles often use earlier GTA releases as a comparison because those games eventually reached computers. The comparison cannot tell us whether this game will use Steam, Epic, Rockstar Games Launcher or a different distribution plan, nor can it establish a launch month. The only calendar date in current first-party GTA VI launch material is for the announced consoles.

How to recognize a real announcement

A trustworthy PC announcement should have a direct first-party trail:

1. A Rockstar Games or Take-Two announcement.
2. A matching product or support page naming PC.
3. A Steam, Epic or Rockstar Games Launcher listing connected from an official source.
4. Consistent dates and product details across those pages.

A screenshot of a store backend, an editable database entry, a reseller placeholder, a domain registration or a social-media post is not enough by itself.

Before putting money down, match the claimed announcement to an actual product page linked from Rockstar. A site that offers a PC preorder without such a trail is not equivalent to a platform-holder store listing. The Rockstar Support preorder directory currently points to console buying paths, not a PC storefront.

Fake PC downloads are dangerous

Security researchers have documented sites that impersonated Rockstar and offered a fake GTA VI demo. The downloaded file was an information stealer designed to take browser passwords, cookies and sessions.

Until Rockstar announces a PC version, any site offering a playable GTA VI PC build, cracked copy, installer, beta key or “early access” download should be treated as unsafe. What PC players can do now

Follow Rockstar’s official GTA VI and Newswire pages. Keep your main email and gaming accounts protected with unique passwords and two-step verification. There is no need to buy hardware for guessed specifications.
